With post-election Iran rent by protests and violence, and the state arresting journalists, blocking cell phones and texting and interfering with web sites, Twitter has emerged as a vibrant source of real-time street level information.
Are you following events in Iran via Twitter?
Absolutely. It's breathtaking, and heartbreaking, and, with most independent journalists kicked out of the country, indispensable.
I wasn't, but am now -- thanks for the heads-up. If Twitter is actually turning out to be useful and important, I guess it's time for pigs to fly outta my butt.
Nope. There are no barriers to fiction on Twitter. Amazingly, I'd still rather trust news that's undergone verification and editing.
